What do the different Grades Mean?

Refurbished Computer Grading

  • Excellent

    Excellent units are the best cosmetic condition. They have the minimal amount of wear and tear. They have also passed R2v3 functionality testing to ensure the item is fully functional and ready to use.

  • Very Good

    Very Good units will have normal wear and tear from standard usage, this could include minor scratches or scuffs that do not effect function. These units have passed R2v3 functionality testing to ensure the item is fully functional and ready to use.

  • Good

    Good units will have slightly above normal wear and tear. This could include moderate scratches or scuffs that do not effect function. These units have passed R2v3 functionality testing to ensure the item is fully functional and ready to use.

  • Fair

    Fair units will have heavy wear and tear and are a good choice for budget-conscious shoppers. They could have deep scratches or chipped corners. They have still passed R2v3 functionality testing to ensure they are ready to use.
Our Products

All Refurbished Computers sold on the Little Dog Tech Shop are considered to be a grade of "Refurbished". Other items will be graded as below. Please see the chart below to reference our grading scale to the industry standard R2v3 grading criteria.

NEW OPEN F6,C8,C9 Item is New, unsealed, but contents have been verified.
REFURBISHED - EXCELLENT F5,C6 Item has been tested for full functionality, may have very
minor cosmetic flaws, and comes installed with a licensed
operating system.
REFURBISHED - VERY GOOD F5,C5 Item has been tested for full functionality, will have average
cosmetic flaws, and comes installed with a licensed operating
system.
REFURBISHED - GOOD F5,C4 Item has been tested for full functionality, will have above
average wear and tear, and comes installed with a licensed
operating system.
REFURBISHED - FAIR F5,C3 Item has been tested for full functionality, will have heavy
wear and tear, and comes installed with a licensed operating
system.
USED GRADE A F1,F2,F4,C6 Item has been tested for full functionality, may have minor
cosmetic flaws, and may or may not contain all components
or an operating system
USED GRADE B F1,F3,C4,C5 Item has been tested for full functionality, may have minor to
medium cosmetic flaws, and may or may not contain all
components or an operating system
USED GRADE C F2,C2,C4 Item has been tested, may have functionality issues and
cosmetic issues above medium wear and tear.
UNTESTED F1,F2,C2-C6 Item is untested, either not able to be tested, or missing
components to fully test, sold AS-IS.
